Ali Safavi is the CEO and co-founder of COVU, the AI-native operating system for managing and advising insurance customers. Built to modernize and empower independent agencies, COVU centralizes operations, embeds AI workflows, and provides access to top carriers — enabling agencies to grow efficiently and deliver high-quality advisory services. Its full-service platform combines automation with licensed teams to help agencies expand into new lines, improve client lifetime value, and future-proof their businesses. Ali’s vision for COVU is to simplify insurance and risk management through human-centered, AI-powered experiences. Before founding COVU, he created VERO, an AI-native holistic insurance and risk advisor platform, and previously served as a Partner at Plug and Play Ventures, and the Global Head of Plug and Play insurtech. Ali holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering and has published extensively in robotics, haptics, virtual training, and machine learning.
