Jerry L. Conrey, MBA is Principal of Conrey Insurance Brokers & Risk Managers, a multi-state independent insurance and risk management firm serving middle-market organizations. A licensed insurance professional since 1988, Jerry has spent nearly four decades challenging the traditional, transaction-driven approach to commercial insurance.

His work centers on Total Cost of Risk and the belief that sophisticated clients need more from their broker than an annual insurance marketing exercise. Through the Conrey Method, his firm integrates operational analysis, contractual risk transfer, data analytics, insurance architecture, claims advocacy, and ongoing stewardship to help clients make better decisions about risk.

Jerry is a longtime advocate for the independent agency system and for building businesses designed to remain independent. As a second-generation agency owner, he has been outspoken about agency perpetuation, private-equity consolidation, and the responsibility owners have to build transferable enterprise value before deciding how, or whether, to sell.

Beyond insurance, Jerry has devoted significant time to industry, civic, educational, and philanthropic leadership. He is a past national president of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity and remains active in organizational governance, leadership development, and mentoring.

Jerry and his wife, Dr. Victoria Shook Conrey, have made philanthropy and education central to the legacy they hope to leave. Their commitment to California State University, Fullerton includes an irrevocable bequest supporting the Conrey Center for Entrepreneurship, named in recognition of their commitment to developing future generations of entrepreneurs and business leaders. For Jerry, that investment reflects a broader philosophy that professional success ultimately creates an obligation and an opportunity to serve others.

Jerry holds an MBA in Finance and regularly writes and speaks about risk management, insurance distribution, agency leadership, perpetuation, and the evolving role of the independent advisor. He and Vicki live in Orange County, California, where their professional, philanthropic, and community involvement reflects a shared belief that the most meaningful measure of success is what it allows you to do for others.
